School to Work Program

This program is aimed at teenagers ages 14-18 who meet low income eligibility guidelines and also have one of the following barriers:

  • Pregnant or Parenting
  • Offender
  • Disabled
  • Run-Away and/or
  • Homeless

The program's goal is to prevent teenagers from dropping out of school, teach them job and work skills, and ensure they or going to post secondary after completing high school.

This program can also help with work and school related expenses, driver's training, tutoring, eye care, and other barriers that hinder teenagers from being able to get and maintain work. Funding is sometimes available for post-secondary schooling when the occupation is on the occupational demand list and the school is a state certified training provider.

Services are provided by CAPMC staff located at the Mercer County Career Link.

Participation in the program requires a referral from the West Central Job Partnership.
