Work Ready Program
Outreach Services Component
The objective of this component is to locate TANF clients who are not engaged in employment and training activities and provide them with opportunities to comply with their requirements in order to continue to receive benefits until employed.
Services include:
- Home Visits
- Assessments
- Case Management
- Motivational Incentives
Supported Work Component
This component helps individuals who are ineligible for SSI but have medical limitations which prevent them from securing full-time employment. The goal is to assist them achieve their highest level of participation in work or work related activities.
Services include but are not limited to:
- Applied life skills
- Job preparation and readiness
- Job search and development
- Skills training
- Self-sufficiency counseling
- Job/work fares
- Paid work Experience
- Subsidized employment
- English as a second language
- Remedial education
- Parenting for people in the work world
- Supervised work experience
Supported Engagement (SE)
SE works with individuals whose barriers are so significant that immediate employment would not be advisable. Participants receive the same services as indicated under the Supported Work Component.
Participants in all programs are referred by Department of Public Welfare.
Services are provided by CAPMC staff located at the Mercer County Career Link.
