Work Ready Program

The primary goal of Work Ready is to help participants transition to an Employment & Training Program and to secure and retain employment by providing services that will help the client stabilize barriers that may hinder them from achieving self-sufficiency.

This is accomplished through appropriate assessment, evaluation, services, and activities. Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Focus on what the participants’ strengths are and the positive, rather than just the barriers;
  • Identify and use the motivations that participants bring with them to promote work and education;
  • Help participants learn problem solving skills so they can help themselves; and
  • Build plans with participants that promote ownership and commitment
  • Self-sufficiency counseling
  • Paid work experience
  • Subsidized employment
  • Remedial education
  • Microsoft Office & computer skills
  • Job readiness skills
  • Employability skills
