PA 2-1-1 SW

PA 2-1-1 Southwest launched in 2011 in partnership with the United Ways of Allegheny, Butler and Westmoreland County.

2-1-1 is an easy-to-remember number that helps people cut through what can be a confusing and overwhelming maze of information and resources. 2-1-1 helps people assess their needs and link them directly to resources and information that could change their circumstances for the better. Whether a person is seeking essential services or looking for volunteer opportunities in his or her community, 2-1-1 is there 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help.

Who Should Call: Persons seeking services for themselves or others; persons seeking volunteer opportunities, or agencies seeking additional resources for their clients.

Volunteer Drivers Needed

Do YOU have a little extra time on your hands?

Or, do YOU know of someone else who has time to spare? How about taking that time to do something worthwhile and help a Veteran access his or her VA healthcare. This volunteer opportunity is at the individual’s preference which could be 1 day a week, 1 day a month or a couple days a week or month.

  • Good driving record

Man on roof with nail gunPennsylvania Housing Finance Agency’s Homeowners Energy Efficiency Loan Program offers 1% APR1 energy efficiency repairs for low and moderate income households.

The loans can pay for:

  • Air sealing, insulation and ductwork;
  • Energy-efficient windows and doors;
  • Energy-efficient heating or cooling system repairs or replacements;
  • Roof replacements.

PHFA logoHEELP loans are affordable! For example if you borrow:

  • $5,000, you pay $44/month;
  • $10,000, you pay $88/month;
  • Note: The minimum loan is $1,000.
